The results of heating with natural gas are convincing. Compared with the electrically heated tumble dryer T 6185, Miele's new gas tumble dryer consumes approx. 47% less primary energy and burdens the environment with approx. 51% less carbon dioxide. According to Germany's DVGW, the official water and gas regulatory body, the moisture-laden air and the minimal combustion residues from a Miele gas-heated tumble dryer can be vented to atmosphere together via the same duct.
The air needed for drying on the Miele T6185 is heated using natural gas. Electricity is only required for the drive system and the controls. This shift from a secondary to a primary source of energy reduces energy losses and lowers energy consumption.
